2026 New Graduate
Bushiroad Music Inc. Production Department 1 Team 1
Participate in BanG Dream! Productions, assisting with tasks.
Specifically, editing new song covers, shadowing them at live rehearsals, and adjusting the cast’s schedules for each band accordingly.
Attending recording sessions of new song covers, and taking the initiative to voice my opinion on whether or not these songs are representative of BanG Dream! during joint discussions with music production teams, usually starting with composers and lyricists.
Everyone is highly motivated and draws inspiration from each other, growing together.
Many take pride in their work, driven by a passion to “make something better” and place much emphasis on the stance of “seeing a project through to the end.”
Being able to work in such close proximity with senior colleagues who think this way naturally inspires me to want to work harder too!, heightening my motivation to deal with daily tasks.
Moreover, since we get a lot of exposure to the cast in our role, many senior colleagues are also very considerate of those working with them and take the initiative to prepare well in advance. I am continuously learning by observing how my senior colleagues work and applying what I see to my own work, even down to minor details, including the attitude they bring to their work.
Since entering the company, I have been able to participate in workshops to develop my professional skills and be physically present at events, accumulating experience working alongside my senior colleagues. Recently, I have slowly been entrusted with handling events at work alone.
It is important to try things yourself first when working on-site at events. Needless to say, my working environment is one where I feel comfortable challenging myself, consulting senior colleagues on any doubts and troubles I have.
Also, I was able to attend BanG Dream!’s recent live performance event, confirming the lyrics for the prompters and was even in charge of operating and directing stage movements.
Once the producer expresses his interest: "let's do a live stream" or "let's do a shoot," I will begin working on adjusting the cast’s schedules or locations, applying for filming permits from the talent agency and moving the project forward that will ultimately realize the producer’s vision.
“An environment where young employees can take on challenges.” and “A shared sense of direction among the staff.”
A big reason that motivated me to join Bushiroad was the ability to accumulate practical experience from a very early stage. Not only is Bushiroad a listed company, Bushiroad also has a culture of entrusting youngsters with work. For me, the ability to gain a wide range of experience held great appeal.
There is also a shared sense of direction in their goals. During my job search, including at career fairs, I also had the opportunity to ask about it, and no matter who I asked, everyone shared a burning passion for the entertainment scene or wanted to share something valuable with the world. I felt a strong sense of unity within the company.
In an ever-changing entertainment scene, it is extremely important not to lose any chances. Since everyone is oriented towards the same goal, decisions can be made quickly, and teams can move swiftly. The speed and uniformity held much appeal to me, and were among the reasons I decided to join Bushiroad.
My university research has taught me how to keep shaping something despite it not having a fixed template, and is something I apply to work today.
I had a science background at university, and had to find answers to “research topics for which there were no established answers”, and engage in research with a limited budget and deliver results through my research. At first glance, my university experiences are totally different from my work in entertainment and music now, but I feel that there are actually overlaps in them.
For example, in production for live events, I may receive detailed images proposed by the staff, and I have to think about how I would want to realize these proposed visions on the actual stage. There is no way only one fixed answer exists, so what is important is to express a detailed portrayal of your vision, and keep refining your vision as you receive feedback from senior colleagues or the producers, ultimately aiming towards the big goal of a successful live performance.
Deepening my understanding of the IP is the hardest hurdle I feel like I am up against.
Since BanG Dream! is a long-running product, fans are very passionate about BanG Dream!, knowing much more about the product than I do. Precisely for this reason, I work towards deepening my knowledge of the content every day. For example, in recordings, even if a song’s completion rate is high, it is always important not to lose sight of sounding true to the character. Since my senior colleagues have a clear idea of how each character sounds in their head, I study everything, down to character speech patterns, dialogue, and phrasing.
On the other hand, precisely because it is difficult, I feel inspired to keep pushing.
5 months after joining Bushiroad, at a recording I oversaw alone, I thought, “This sounds slightly off-character.” I had to gather up some courage to voice out this sentiment to experienced lyricists and engineers, but they concurred with me on my observation when I took the plunge and shared these concerns with them.
Ultimately, the song cover was released with few amendments, and when it was published as a final product, I was glad that I pushed to express my opinion.
I hope to be able to “build new content from scratch and deliver something that satisfies fans”.
By learning from my seniors’ work, the logic behind the proposals they make, the way they move their projects forward, and master the way they collaborate with others. I hope to first increase the amount of work I can be entrusted with, then, as I am entrusted to make more decisions, push for progression on my projects.
For the challenge seekers among you, do consider Bushiroad as one of your career options!
Bushiroad is a company developing a wide range of content, including planning, music content production, goods production, and event management. There are opportunities to work not only with in-house content, but there are also chances to work with other companies, in a working environment that allows me to take on challenges across a broad range of areas.
I myself used to be in a band and loved music, but at Bushiroad Music, specialized music knowledge is not necessarily required. People who know a lot about music, people who know a lot about content, and people who will acquire knowledge from now on— regardless of which best describes you, you can leverage your own experience and perspective, and you can also learn on the job.
That is why I think what matters is not just the knowledge and experience you have at the time of joining, but what you learn and how you grow after joining. If your passion lies in wanting to take on new challenges, rather than just making joining Bushiroad your final goal, this is a company that gives you every opportunity to do so.
